STEP ONE – Registration

The cost of the class is $125 for new applicants and $50 for renewals, however we do offer various specials and discounts (see REGISTRATION button on top of page), A $50 deposit is required. Use the CALENDAR button to determine the date of the class you would like to attend then click on the REGISTERATION button. You will be given the option to print the application and register by mail or register online using the form provided and PayPal. Once your deposit is received you will get confirmation either by email, phone or both depending on the options you choose on the registration form. With the receipt of the deposit renewal applicants will be considered paid in full, new applicants will be required to pay a balance of $75.00 on class day. Check or cash only please. 



STEP TWO – The classroom

The Concealed Handgun laws in Texas require a minimum of ten hours of education for new applicants and four hours for renewals, that includes a written test and a shooting proficiency. New applicants will start promptly at 9:00 AM and end at 7:00 PM, there will be a thirty minute break for lunch. Renewal students will be required to join the class at 2:30 PM and remain until it ends at 7:00 PM, dress is casual, no guns or ammunition will be permitted in the classroom. Please bring a pad and pencil to take notes, refreshments will be provided.



STEP THREE – The shooting proficiency

Each student will be required to take a shooting proficiency test to complete the course. This test will be conducted at 9:00 AM on the Sunday morning after the class at the Garland Public Shooting Range and should take about an hour (See CALENDAR for directions). The range fee will be $10.00 if you already have a range card and $20.00 if you do not, they only accept cash or checks. For those students that cannot attend on Sunday morning, shooting proficiency tests will also be conducted on the Wednesday nights before  the class at 5:00 PM. Students that consider themselves proficient can take the test on the Wednesday night prior to the classroom portion of the course if preferred.
